Labour leader speaks out on his plans for the country in exclusive interview

Labour leader Sir Keir Starmer has said he wants to build a "better, changed" Britain in an exclusive interview with Nick Robinson.

Speaking on ITV News at Ten on Thursday, Sir Keir said he was "determined" to deliver on his promises to the British people.

"I want to build a better, changed Britain," he said. "A Britain that is fairer, more prosperous and more secure.

"I know that we can do this. We have the talent, the skills and the determination.

"But we need to do it together. We need to work together to build a better future for our country."

Sir Keir also spoke about his personal life, his fears for his family and the inner anger that drives him to want to change Britain.

"I want to build a better Britain for my children and for all our children," he said.

"I want to create a country where everyone has a fair chance to succeed, no matter where they come from or what their background is.

"I know that we can do this. We have the talent, the skills and the determination.

"But we need to do it together. We need to work together to build a better future for our country."
